Research notes

[DIAGRAM] Named on SG Dgm B 358/1833 (DOC-0155) as the man the loan farm Uit-Nood No. 147 was surveyed for, in the Traka field cornetcy, District of Beaufort. Titled to Bf.W.Q.5-32 on 15 April 1841. "Senior" on the face of the diagram implies a son of the same name, and Oorlogs Kloof No. 172 next door (DOC-0073) was surveyed the same month by the same surveyor for LUCAS VAN VEUREN, entered on that form as "P. Zoon". Petrus is the obvious P., so this reads as father and son on adjoining ground. NOT PROVEN: it rests on an initial and a neighbourhood, which 9 says is not enough on its own. See LEAD-0054. Compare PER-000492, Martinus van VeurenM, already in the model. [1 Aug 2026]

These are working notes, not finished prose: they carry the reasoning, the corrections and the things still marked to verify. They are kept here so the page itself can read as what is known.
