CHARLES FREDERICK HITJES - meerderjarig, jongman, RANG OF BEROEP: LANDBOUWER, WOONPLAATS TIJDENS HET HUWELYK: VROLYKHEID. SOPHIA JOHANNA MOCKE - meerderjarig, jonge dochter, woonplaats ZWARTEBERG. Na huwelyks-geboden. "Getrouwd in de Nederduitsche Hervormde Kerk te Beaufort voor mij na afkondiging van huwelyks geboden door mij Colin Fraser, Leraar der Nederduitsche Hervormde Kerk." Signed Charles Frederick Hitjes and S.J. Mocke, witnesses read as J.H. de Beer and C.D. Mocke. The register spells the surname HITJES; the person is Hitge per 5a-i.
