De Riet Kuyl loan farm, 1833 [floruit] Named on SG diagram 361/1833 (DOC-0196): the loan farm De Riet Kuyl with Government ground annexed, 14 379 morgen, in the TRAKA field cornetcy of the Beaufort district, 'Surveyed for Hermanus SteinH', C. L. Stretch, September 1833. The farm was granted on 15 April 1841 under title Bf.W.Q.3-35 - and by 1841 it is Rietkuil No. 119, granted to Pieter Johannes SwanepoelL. Whether Stein sold, died or simply lost the loan place is not known here. [TO VERIFY]
