Research notes

[TREE] Added 29 Jul 2026 under the people-related-to-the-land rule: child Cornelis Andries OosthuizenL (b.1825) (PER-000128). Thin record; dates as in the tree.

[6 Aug 2026] MERGED PER-000377 into this row. One Magdalena Maria Oosthuizen, duplicated upstream and imported twice by the 29 Jul one-degree pull. Found 6 Aug 2026 by the new sibling-spacing check: two children of Magdalena Maria van WykM dated 14 Oct and 3 Dec 1851, fifty days apart, which no woman can do. Confirmed against the private tree the same day: and carry the SAME NAME and the SAME PARENTS (Cornelis Andries OosthuizenL x Magdalena Maria van WykM) and are complementary halves of one life, one row holding the death of 15 Nov 1935 and the other the Prince Albert birthplace. DISAGREEMENTS, kept rather than resolved - the FamilySearch id settles these in one click: display_name: kept 'Magdalena Maria OOSTHUIZENH', PER-000377 said 'Magdalena Maria Oosthuizen'; surname: kept 'OOSTHUIZEN', PER-000377 said 'Oosthuizen'; birth_edtf: kept '1851-12-03', PER-000377 said '1851-10-14'; tree id: kept '', PER-000377 said ''; familysearch_id: kept 'LR3F-P5X', PER-000377 said 'MTLS-F71'. Retired ids kept for the trail: tree, FamilySearch MTLS-F71 - a merged FamilySearch id still resolves, so it remains a usable door.

These are working notes, not finished prose: they carry the reasoning, the corrections and the things still marked to verify. They are kept here so the page itself can read as what is known.
