Then: 'De slag o God was bitter swaar voor vleesch en bloed, Gij gaaft, Gij naamt terug diez dierbare uit ons midden. Ons hart hoe diep gewond met zwygen en aan bidden, wij treuren op haar graf, maar gunnen haar de rust.' A maker's mark is cut on the kerb below and is not legible in this photograph.

[SRC-068] Martha Maria Susanna nee VAN DER WESTHUIZEN; married Frederik Simon OosthuizenH in 1877; died 3 May 1918. Buried first in the Zwartskraal farm cemetery, re-interred at Zeekoegat when her husband died in 1936.

30 Jul 2026 [FS]: FamilySearch KPHM-NPZ, 1859-1918; marriage 5 Jun 1877 at Cape Town (tree agrees). Birth 1859 from FS (the tree's 'about 1863' was looser). MERGED PER-000396 (the one-hop tree row, family-tree) into this row - same woman.
