Research notes

[3 Aug 2026, SRC-218] One of the eight portions cut out of Minnies Kraal 112 in 1955-56. It is here for the same reason its parent is - because the parent settles that Minnies Kraal is farm 112 and not farm 12, which is what freed Rietfontein to be 12 (PAR-000052). Outside the Klaarstroom basin and not a farm this project follows.

[13 Aug 2026] Renamed to the one form this model uses for every portion - the portion's own name, then the parent farm, its number and the portion in brackets - so that a name is legible in a list, a search result and a map popup without the reader having to know which farm number is which. It read "Minnies Kraal Portion 2 (No. 112 Ptn 2)" before. Nothing about the ground changed.
