Research notes

[3 Aug 2026, SRC-205/DOC-0171] A 2018 consolidation of the Remainder of CAROLUSPOORT NO. 105, Portion 1 of ROODE RANTE NO. 103 and Portion 5 of SCHULPADS VLAKTE NO. 101, in the Prince Albert MUNICIPALITY. It borders farm 215 and the Remainder of JANSEN'SKRAAL 104. Worth noting for its own sake: beacons A, U and boundary AU are still held on BA 008/1897, and beacons H, J on BA 019/1910 - an 1897 and a 1910 survey record still governing a 2018 plan. These 1990-2018 consolidations are the MODERN successors of farms this project tracks. They are recorded because they say where the old farms went and because their neighbour lists corroborate our own; they are not themselves part of the family story.

[3 Aug 2026] RENAMED to the project's standard form for a farm that has no name. The cadastre publishes these as literally 'FARM' and their own diagrams call them 'Die Plaas Nr 215' / 'FARM NO. 241', so there is no name to lose - only a house style to settle. The diagram's own wording is kept above.
