GEDEELTE 8 IS GEDEELTE 6 AND GEDEELTE 7 JOINED. The sheet says so twice over. Its two notes read: "(1) Die figuur A B C D E F G H L M stel voor Gedeelte 6 ('n gedeelte van Gedeelte 5) van die plaas Rhemhoogte Nr. 125. Kaart Nr. 11001/71, T/A. 7837/72" and "(2) Die figuur K H J stel voor Gedeelte 7 ('n gedeelte van Gedeelte 5). Kaart Nr. 1550/77". Gedeelte 8's own figure, ABCDEFGH-JKL-M, is Gedeelte 6's ABCDEFGH-L-M with the KHJ triangle folded back in. AND THE ARITHMETIC IS EXACT: DOC-0178's verso gives Ged 6 as 4728,2437 ha and Ged 7 as 4,6475 ha, and 4728,2437 + 4,6475 = 4732,8912, which is this sheet's figure to the fourth decimal. The word on the sheet is SAAMGESTEL, compiled, with Opgemeet struck out: nobody went back to the veld, the surveyor added two existing figures on paper.

BEACONS, worth keeping for anyone going to look: 20 mm ysterpenne in beton at A, G and K; 15 mm ysterpen beside a heavy iron corner post at B; a heavy iron wire post in a stone heap at C; a stone heap round a RAILWAY-RAIL corner post at D and F; a railway-rail corner post at E.

NEIGHBOUR RING, which corroborates five farms already in the model from a sixth direction: Modderdrift Nr. 106 and Gedeelte 2 daarvan; GEDEELTE 7 VAN KLIPGAT NR. 114; Gedeelte 1 van Rondable Nr. 124, die Restant van Rondable, and its Gedeeltes 2 and 8; GED 3 VAN DIE PLAAS MIDDLEWATER NR. 169; and the Restant van Gedeelte 5 of this farm. The Trakarivier crosses it, and the roads to Beaufort-Wes and De Rust leave the corner. Klipgat's own sheet names Rhemhoogte as its neighbour (PAR-000103) and Middelwater's 1883 diagram names Remhoogte on two sides, so all three agree.
