TRANSCRIPTION. Entry 202, 6 Oct[ober] 1846. "Sybrand Albertus Strauss", 34, WEDUWENAAR, veeboer, woonplaats HOL RIVIER HANTAM, na huwelyks-geboden, toestemming "Meester van het Hooggeregtshof". "Maria Magdalena Visagie H. J. dochter", 17, jonge dochter, toestemming "H. J. Visagie, vader". Married in the church at Clanwilliam by H. L. de Villiers, leeraar der Ned. Ger. Gemeente te Clanwilliam. HELD HERE ONLY TO ANSWER A QUESTION ABOUT SOMEBODY ELSE'S HOUSEHOLD. It establishes that Maria Magdalena Visagie was married to Sybrand Albertus Strauss from 1846, and her patronymic H. J. dochter identifies her father as Hendrik Johannes Visagie 1801-1888, FamilySearch G6CS-GCD. See SRC-385 and LEAD-0158.
