The citation as it was given
THE ENTRY, verbatim: "NC066 - KAROO HOOGLAND [Fraserburg] 30606003 66020059 PERMANENT (P) BIESIES FARM WILLISTON WILLISTON". IT ATTESTS A FARM THE CADASTRE DOES NOT NAME. Biesies has been in this model since 31 July on Frans's word alone, and no cadastral search has ever found it - not in Calvinia, not anywhere in South Africa under that name. Here is a government record, made for a different purpose entirely, that calls the place Biesies, puts it at Williston, and was current in 2011. A polling station is put where people actually are, so the name it uses is the name in use. THAT IS WHAT 5's SECOND RULE ASKS FOR. A vernacular name is located from family knowledge, a photograph, or a document that ties it to ground - and this is the third of those. It does not give a coordinate and none is invented. The municipality is worth noting: NC066 KAROO HOOGLAND is seated at FRASERBURG and contains Williston, Sutherland and Fraserburg together, which is the administrative reason Fraserburg and Williston keep appearing beside each other in this family's records. One other line in the same list, and it is a caution rather than a find: "MATJESFONTEI FARM ... SUTHERLAND", a thirteenth farm of that name and not obviously the one PER-000762 was born on. LEAD-0151 stays open.
Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
