A DESCENDANT REPORT FOR PER-000219, AND IT RUNS INTO THE LIVING. It carries ten children, their spouses, their children and in places their grandchildren, with dates of birth, occupations and addresses. Most of those people are alive. NOTHING FROM THE LIVING GENERATIONS IS TRANSCRIBED HERE and no rows were created for them: 4 permits holding such data and forbids publishing it, and the safest way to keep that promise is not to copy it into a file that publishes. The report itself belongs in the private folder. WHAT IS TAKEN FROM IT, all of it about people long dead: JACOBUS JOHANNES GIDEON VAN DER MERWE, *23.11.1888, =Calvinia 02.12.1888, +1950, buried WILLISTON; 'trou as 29 jarige boer van KAREEKOP; GEDOOP GILLIAM NIE GIDEON'. Married 01.10.1917 at Calvinia to CATHARINA ISABELLA BRUYN, *1895 +1947, buried Williston, 'trou as 23 jarige dogter van KLIPFONTEIN'. Ten children, and every one of them born at WILLISTON between 1922 and 1939. FRANS JACOBUS WILHELMUS, *WILLISTON 08.04.1924, +Prins Albert 08.04.1968, 'woon Vredendal, Prins Albert', married at Williston to Maria Magdalena van Rensburg *23.10.1928. BIESIES IS FINALLY PLACED, by a sentence about a brother: 'boer op BIESIES, 'n plaas in WILLISTON DISTRIK OP DIE GRENS VAN BOESMANLAND.' THIS REPORT DISAGREES WITH THIS MODEL IN THREE PLACES and none is resolved here. It gives PER-000219's birth as 23 NOVEMBER 1888 against the 23 October held here, and his death as 1950 against 1961. It gives PER-000030's birth at WILLISTON against the Brandvlei this model holds from the family-tree. And it gives PER-000013 as Maria MAGDALENA *23.10.1928 against Maria Magritha *28.10.1928. Melville reads baptism registers and death notices and says so; the family-tree is a FamilySearch copy. Neither is the register itself. LEAD-0155.
