The citation as it was given

15 167 morgen 520 square roods, "in the Field Cornetcy of the Gouph Division of Prince Albert". SAME SURVEYOR AND SAME EXAMINER AS RONDABEL: J.W. du T. Melvill surveyed Rondabel in November 1863 and this farm in September 1864, and L. Marquard examined both. These are two sheets of one campaign, and the pattern they share is that RESURVEY FOUND MORE GROUND - Rondabel went from 11 352 to 16 151 morgen, Riet Fontein from 13 290 to 15 167. THE MAP FACE IS A PORTION-NAME SOURCE (LEAD-0067): Portion 1 and Portion 2 are drawn, and the sheet labels Gats River, Palmiet Fontein, Jagers Kraal, Paarde Water and several more features across the farm.

Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
