A USER-COMPILED TREE, so corroborating and not proving, in the same class as Geni. Consulted 1 Aug 2026 for the Hitge origin. Gives Nicolaus Hitge born 5 Feb 1785 at Aitleiningen between Grunstadt and Bad Durkheim in the Pfalz, died 3 Aug 1848 in Baird Street, Uitenhage, married Mary Hunt at Uitenhage 14 May 1820, with six children including Charles Frederick, George Joseph Roye and Hester Adriana Carolina who married a Marincowitz. WHAT MAKES IT WORTH RECORDING is that this model reached the same couple independently, from the 1844 Uitenhage marriage register entry in S012, so two sources that did not copy each other agree.
