The citation as it was given

Cited to establish a DISTINCTION, not a connection. This is the Northern Cape Oorlogskloof near Nieuwoudtville, named for a trekboer commando action against a Khoi group under Captain Klipheuvel on 25 September 1739, an event documented by the historian Nigel Penn. It is about 500 km from the farm this project tracks. Recorded so that nobody later attaches the 1739 battle to Oorlogs Kloof No. 172.

Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.

Nothing in the model cites this source yet.
