(2) 'ged: een zoon geb: den 20 September 1809 / Vader Casper van Zijl / Moeder Susanna Abigael Bredenbach, in HOUTNIEKWALAND / getuige Nicolaas Meijer, en H Vrouw Jacoba Dorothea Smit / Petrus Johannes Nel, en H Vrouw Anna Petronella Botha / Johannes Zwaanepoel, en H Vrouw Anna Maria van Zijl / Naam van het kind - JACOBUS'. | WHAT IT SETTLES: the van Zyl family history (SRC-179) says the two were TWINS, both born 6/12/1809. THEY WERE NOT. They were BAPTISED TOGETHER on 6 December 1809 and born FIFTEEN MONTHS APART. 6/12/1809 is the baptism date, and the family writer took a shared date for a shared birthday. The model was already right on both: PER-001265 at 20 Sep 1809 and PER-001264 at 3 Jun 1808. | Note the mother's residence differs BETWEEN THE TWO ENTRIES - Cango for the elder, Houtniquasland for the younger - written by the same hand on the same day. Per 5 that is recorded and not resolved.
