The citation as it was given
25 morgen 133 square roods, 'the place called Rossel Erf a portion of the farm Remhoogte GRANTED ON PERPETUAL QUITRENT TO WILLEM JOHANNES GOUS ON 15TH APRIL 1841' - which gives the 1841 grantee his full name, where the 1833 sheet has only 'William Gouse' and the quitrent stamp only 'W.J. Gous'. Bounded on all sides by the Remainder of Remhoogte. Surveyed March 1908 by A.I. de Villiers, examined by W.P. Murray 24.4.1908. Transfer deed 3908 of 15 June 1908 in favour of J.J.P. du Plessis.
Kept verbatim. This project contradicts published genealogies and corrects a family's own oral tradition, so every claim has to be checkable by someone who was not in the room.
