Joined Jan LuttigM and Rhodes on the 1897 expedition toward Mashonaland that turned back at N'gami - after which Rhodes gave the Prince Albert church an organ. SRC-068 has Hofmeyr serving Prince Albert 1883-1895 and then joining Jan LuttigM and Cecil John RhodesM on a Mashonaland expedition in 1897, two years after he left the town. The organ that ended up at Zeekoegat came out of that trip.
