Shell, Bundu and Falcon applied jointly. Shell alone sought about 90,000 km2 in three blocks; Falcon's 30,000 km2 took in Aberdeen, Jansenville and MERWEVILLE - a Koup town. A moratorium followed in February 2011 and was lifted in September 2012. Prince Albert was one of the centres of the opposition.
