The Zeekoegat church declared a National Monument

Celebrated the weekend of 3 March 1984, when Freddie Oosthuizen, a great-grandson, unveiled the bronze plaque and Rev Freddie Marincowitz, a grandson, took the service. This resolves the 1983-vs-1984 discrepancy between sources: declared 1983, celebrated 1984. | [1 Aug 2026, date audit] Two rows recorded the same declaration.
