Just over six pennyweights - 6 dwt 23 grains, about a third of an ounce, a lump the size of a pea. He took the rock, with a bit of yellow on it, to the farm owner John Muller, who thought a bullet had struck it; Muller showed it to Piet du Plessis of Zeekoegat, who knew it for gold. This time nobody waited for a geologist. | [1 Aug 2026] Two rows recorded this one nugget - EVT-000088 named Koevies and EVT-000053 gave the month and farm - and the weights match to the grain. Merged here; EVT-000088 retired. Found by Frans, not by a check: the titles shared no words.
