One witness, where his grandson's 1786 baptism would have seven - the family's network in the colony was still thin. The register writes the parents by their spoken names, Jan and Jannetje; the tree carries them as Johannes and Johanna. Congregation not printed on the page [TO VERIFY]; the surrounding names are Huguenot and Drakenstein is the expectation.
