"1835 Octr 4 - Elsje Johanna - Jacobus Alewyn van der Merwe, Elisabeth Maria Theron - KAREL ARON VAN DER MERWE; ANNA WILHELMINA BOTHA; IZAAK HEREMIAS VISAGIE; JOHANNA SOPHIA V. D. MERWE - 31 Maart 1835." FOUR WITNESSES AND EVERY ONE OF THEM CORROBORATES SOMETHING THIS PROJECT HAD ONLY FROM A TREE. KAREL ARON VAN DER MERWE is PER-001639, the child's grandfather. ANNA WILHELMINA BOTHA is PER-001773, HIS SECOND WIFE, married in November 1828 - and here they stand together at a font in 1835, which is the first original document to put that marriage on paper. IZAAK HEREMIAS VISAGIE and JOHANNA SOPHIA VAN DER MERWE are the couple SRC-388 identified as Carel Aaron's daughter and her Visagie husband, and here they are as a pair. THE ENTRY BELOW IT DOES THE SAME FOR THE OTHER VISAGIE MARRIAGE: "Johanna Sophia Elisabeth - HENDRIK JOHANNES VISAGIE, LOUISA JACOBA VAN DER MERWE - Jacobus Alewyn van der Merwe, Elisabeth Maria Theron, Izaak Heremias Visagie, Helena Dorothea Gous ... - 18 October 1834." That is Carel Aaron's OTHER daughter with her Visagie husband, witnessed by the parents of the child above. Both Visagie marriages, both sets of van der Merwe in-laws, on one register opening. The whole of SRC-388's finding, which rested on FamilySearch ids, is confirmed here from a register. It also gives Elsje Johanna's birth as 31 MARCH 1835 and her baptism as 4 October, where this model held a bare 1835.
