The 1770 limit that SRC-423 refers back to in 1775 - 'in 't voorm: Jaar 1770: bij de geciteerde bepaaling der voorn: Limietscheijding, den Swartenberg als tot de Scheijdsmuur genoomen'. Verbatim here: 'de aan de ZUIJD ZIJDE van voorsz: berg geleegene plaatsen onder SWELLENDAM Sullen behooren. Dat ook... de in het zogen:de CAMDEBO wonende Ingeseetenen, voortaan insgelijx onder de Jurisdictie des Landdrosts van STELLENBOSCH Sullen[de]'. THE SWARTBERG WAS AN ADMINISTRATIVE BOUNDARY BEFORE IT WAS ANYTHING ELSE TO THIS PROJECT, and 1770 is where that starts. With SRC-423 (1775, the limits pushed to the Fish and Bosjesmans Rivers) and SRC-428 (1786, Graaff-Reinet defined by the Gamka and the mountain's north-eastern side), it completes the frame this district sat inside before the 1841 grants.
