TRANSCRIPTION of the wording: the figure "represents [1586] Morgen 250 Square roods of land situate in the Field Cornetcy VOOR HANTAM Division of Calvinia being ALEWYNS BERG". BOUNDED: "N. NE. E. SE. S. SW. W and NW. by upper edge of Cliff. North by Ambraols Hoek and Akkerendam Extension. North East by Annex Akkerendam. East by Akkerendam Extension. South East by Remainder of Akkerendam and deducted portion of Akkerendam. South by Annex Akkerendam, Akkerendam Extension and Deducted portion of Hoogekraal. West by Inkruip. North West by TYGERHOEK and Inkruip." "Surveyed and beaconed by me, according to regulations, Fred Muller, Govt. Land Surveyor, March 1914." The rectified area is written over an earlier figure and both are on the sheet; 1586 morgen 250 roods is the corrected reading. The coordinate and angle tables are full, 32 stations A to F prime. A modern hand notes 'Included in Proclamation S.G. 618/2017'. NOTE THE NAMESAKE: Alewyns Berg No. 668 is a different farm in a different field cornetcy, North Onder Bokkeveld, surveyed forty years earlier.
