Die sitasie soos dit gegee is
'There are some unmarked graves. Album complete.' Four images: an overview, BOTMA CORNELES JACOBUS 1867-1910, BOTMA J.M.M. 1861-1939, and SWANEPOEL GERTRUIDA JOHANNA 1915-. TWO OF THEIRS ARE OURS, ONE OF THEIRS IS NEW TO US, AND ONE OF OURS IS MISSING FROM THEIRS. The two Botma stones are GRV-0027 and GRV-0026. The SWANEPOEL is a grave this project did not have. And eGGSA DO NOT HAVE the 1886 stone of ENGELA SUSARA NIEHAUS BORN BOTES, which is GRV-0025 - the oldest and, until today, the worst-read stone in that plot. THE COORDINATE IS A NEAR-EXACT MATCH. eGGSA give -32 57.367, 22 16.995, which is -32.956117, 22.283250. This project's figure, from the geotag of a 2012 photograph written in software five years later, is -32.956136, 22.283269. THREE METRES APART. That geotag has been carried as a soft claim about location all day; against an independent GPS reading it is as good as a survey, and it carries the Vredendal-is-Portion-1 identification with it. RIGHTS: photographs not copied; captions are facts and are recorded; images linked.
Woordeliks gehou. Hierdie projek weerspreek gepubliseerde genealogieë en stel 'n familie se eie mondelinge oorlewering reg, so elke bewering moet nagegaan kan word deur iemand wat nie in die vertrek was nie.
