Die sitasie soos dit gegee is
Burger Wilhelm Oelofsen described the fossil in 1986 from the material visible at the broken face of the nodule, and named it for the man who split it: DWYKASELACHUS OOSTHUIZENI - the Dwyka shark, Oosthuizen's. 'Dwyka' for the Dwyka Group the nodule weathered out of. On that evidence it was filed as a symmoriid SHARK, which is what it looks like from the outside, and it stayed filed that way for thirty-one years. [TO VERIFY] the original citation has not been read here - it is known only through Coates et al. 2017 and secondary accounts, and the journal and page numbers are still wanted.
