The loan farm Hagga's and the annexed Government ground CALLABASH KRAAL, 17060 morgen - the largest single parcel in this model - surveyed for P. VAN DER WESTHUIZEN, situated in the TRAKA FIELD CORNETCY, BEAUFORT DISTRICT. Bounded N and W by Oorlogs Kloof and Kloof Plaats, S by the loan farm Uit Nood, E by Vondeling. Signed C. Lennon [Lennox] Stretch, August 1833. Title Bf.W.Q. 5-31 dated 15.4.1841; copy 25.1.1967, sheets BL-4B/4C/4D. WHERE IT ACTUALLY IS: the CSG places Haggas 145 in the WILLOWMORE division, EASTERN CAPE (LPI prefix C0830000), immediately east of Oorlogs Kloof and Vrolykheid - the provincial boundary runs between them, which is why neither of this project's cadastre pulls holds it. In 1833 that ground was still 'Beaufort District', which was enormous before the later divisions were cut. The ward name TRAKA is the Willowmore-area Traka, NOT the Tarka near Tarkastad. See LEAD-0014. CORRECTED SAME DAY: calling this 'the Willowmore-area Traka, not the Tarka near Tarkastad' was half wrong and misleading. TRAKA IS OUR OWN WARD. Vrolikheid (DOC-0027), Rondabel (DOC-0023), Oorlogs Kloof (DOC-0073) and Klipfontein (DOC-0112) each name 'Field Cornetcy of Traka' on their OWN 1833 diagrams, as do Klein Sleutelfontein, Oude Muure and Rhemhoogte 125. The 1935 Vrolykheid portion diagrams show Traka struck through and corrected by hand to KREDOUW, so the ward was simply renamed. Haggas sitting in the modern Willowmore division means the 1830s ward straddled ground that later fell either side of a provincial boundary - it does not make Traka an eastern place.
