INSCRIPTION, verbatim: 'LAAS GEBORENE / CHARLOTTE FLORENCE MARGARETHA SEARLE / (GEB. DUMINY) / 7.12.1897 - 15.2.1999'. Cemetery not identified on the image; the stone is a small flat plaque on gravel. 'LAAS GEBORENE' is read as 'last born' and the model independently agrees - she is the youngest of the fourteen Duminy siblings recorded here, the next being Maria Johanna D'Oliviera Stadler Duminy of 1895. The alternative reading, that Laas is the Afrikaans SURNAME, cannot be ruled out from the image alone. [TO VERIFY] RIGHTS: provenance of the photograph is not established - it carries a watermark in the lower right. Cite and transcribe, do NOT republish the image, the same position taken on SRC-090. CANNOT YET BE FOLLOWED UP, and checks.py said so: there is no archive reference because the photograph arrived without one. The style and the lower-right watermark match eGGSA, which is where SRC-090 came from, so an eGGSA search on SEARLE is the first place to look - but that is a guess and is recorded as one.
