Navorsingsnotas
[3 Aug 2026, SRC-217] Four and a half hectares - the smallest parcel in this model by a wide margin, and it exists only to be consolidated: cut from Gedeelte 5 and absorbed into Gedeelte 8 (PAR-000142) in the same year, 1977. Surveyed across two visits five years apart, November-December 1971 and December 1976.
*** [4 Aug 2026, LEAD-0084 RESOLVED] THE MATCHER WAS NEVER AT FAULT. *** The polygon for this parcel carries WSTATUS='H' - SUPERSEDED. match_cadastre.py indexes superseded features by their LPI ONLY and keeps them out of the name and farm-number indexes, so nothing automatic can land on one. That is deliberate and documented in the loader: a superseded polygon is reachable by an explicit PIN and by nothing else, because a pin is somebody saying "I know, use this one". For a history site a superseded shape is often the only correct geometry there is - Modderdrift Portion 4 is the precedent. NOT PINNED. The superseded polygon W052C061000000000125000070 exists, but 4,6475 ha teen 5,6 ha - 20% apart. Small in absolute terms, under a hectare, but this project pins on extents that agree to a fraction of a percent and 20% is not corroboration. Left unpinned deliberately. Recorded rather than resolved: an unplaced parcel is honest, a wrongly placed one is not, and 5 says a wrong pin is worse than a missing one because a map makes a claim look authoritative. [TO VERIFY]
[12 Aug 2026] PINNED to cadastre key W052C061000000000125000070. The polygon was in the Prince Albert pull all along, tagged 7/125, and this row simply never claimed it - the farm-and-portion index did not reach it and the key column was empty, so Rhemhoogte drew one portion short. The key decodes as farm 00000125, portion 00007, remainder flag 0, which is this parcel and no other. The cadastre gives 5.6 ha against the 4.6 stated here; GEOM_AREA is the projected figure 9 warns is inflated by 1/cos(lat), so the two agree as well as they can.
[13 Aug 2026] Renamed to the one form this model uses for every portion - the portion's own name, then the parent farm, its number and the portion in brackets - so that a name is legible in a list, a search result and a map popup without the reader having to know which farm number is which. It read "Rhemhoogte Portion 7 (No. 125 Ptn 7)" before. Nothing about the ground changed.
Werknotas, hier gewys omdat dit 'n private navorsingsbou is.
-
Nobody is on record as ever having held this
third order · B8 never-held
Rhemhoogte Nr. 125 Gdlt 7 is in the model and drawn on the map, and carries no ownership record of any kind, not a grant, not a transfer, not an occupation.
What would settle it The Surveyor-General's diagram for the farm number names the grantee and the date; the deed reference on it opens the transfer chain.
Found by breaks.py reading the model against itself, not written by hand,
each one is a shape of missing record, not a fault in the data.
